Design Specifications

We held many meetings to brainstorm on the design of Placeholder - ranging from Critter perception, the behavior of Voiceholders , the use of spatialized audio, the construction of the worlds, The Goddess, Crow Flight, and much more. Not everything made it in, due to time and resource constraints; the totality of the design specs below reflect the Placeholder we wanted to build; yet we believe that we did come close enough to these design specs to make Placeholder a compellingly different VR experience.
