The SGI Room
The SGI room hidden away in the basement
was where the modeling, simulation, and video
and audio control software was written, and
was the central control room for the real time support staff during Placeholder performances. We spent many hundreds of
hours in there, in very tight quarters...
mostly white males, engaged in the service
of artistic diversity and the granting of
artistic voice in new media to women and
native people - which continues as an important
on-going goal of the Banff Centre.
